A must visit if you love donkeys. Wheelchair accessable and a very peaceful area surrounded by donkeys. Shop and cafe I can highly recommend a cheese scone and a hot chocolate. The shop is well stocked. This is free to enter and free parking. It is a charity you can donate if you can. Of if you truly love donkeys you can adopt one.
I am a wheelchair user and give this a full 5 stars.

What a sweet experience visiting the donkeys.
The staff are friendly and welcoming.
It is free to get in and there is a donation box if you wish to leave one.
The donkeys have a lot of space to roam around. We got to see them at feeding time and the staff had everything under control espeically when some got agitated over the food.
There is a cafe for a bite to eat and plenty of toilet facilities. There is also a lovely gift shop.
It is a lovely trip out for all ages.

This place is just wonderful. From the second you arrive you can feel the love and genuine passion for these beautiful animals. The care that goes into each animal is evident as each one looks so healthy and happy. It was a genuine joy to visit, the staff are so excited to tell you all about the donkeys and where they come from and their whole story. There is passion for everything, the site is clean and accessible and the facilities are more than acceptable. The gift shop is full of all things donkey as well as some extra delights. I didn't want to leave.

As well as viewing the charming loveable donkeys, both inside the barns and outside in the paddocks, I walked through and round the furthest fields of the estate which are unsuitable for donkeys but which are preserved for ecology etc.

My wife enjoyed the excellent tea room. The souvenir shop is modest but sufficient for simple souvenirs. We bought Christmas cards featuring donkeys of course.

I would make this visit part of every holiday on the Island.

Super dog friendly and very worthwhile visitor attraction. Lovely walks around several paddocks and barns where petting of animals is often possible. Excellent gift shop and cafe restaurant and nice meadow walks. Children's play area too. Free parking and entry and very friendly staff. A place you will wants to retun to time and again....Amazing sheep too

A lovely morning out. We went along with our dog who seems to love Donkeys and Horses! It is so dog friendly, the cafe, shop, picnic areas , all of it. It is so lovely reading the stories of how they have been rescued and are now so well cared for.
I am sure had the weather been better we could have spent the entire day here and it is FREE to get in but then the fact all this was free, we really felt we should sponsor a donkey! £36 for the year and a Donkey Sanctuary shopping bag and fridge magnet included in this. Highly recommend.

I’ve been to donkey sanctuaries in the past and they are always pretty naff but this one is special.
It’s a free to enter (but please leave a donation) and there are some really lovely walks around the paddocks. 104 donkeys to see, plus some ponies and a couple of mules.
It’s a beautiful set up with an excellent guidebook telling you all about the donkeys. A nice play area for kids and a delicious restaurant serving fabulous cakes!
Even if you’re not into the donkeys it’s a perfect place to come for a coffee and a cake. Well worth a visit. Great entertainment for a couple of hours.

What’s not to like? If you’re older and on your own, there’s plenty of peaceful walks round the paddocks and places to sit and have a cuppa. If you’re bringing children, there is so much to do, things to see and places to play. It costs nothing to come in, but don’t leave without dropping something in a donation box or buying something from the shop. The Donkeys will thank you.

Visited here last week in August and I can honestly say what an amazing place this is. The sanctuary is free to visit with the opportunity to donate or adopt a donkey. We pre booked and paid for a donkey experience for our 15yr old daughter. She said it was the best day she’s had. The keepers are so kind, caring and knowledgeable and are happy to help with anything. My daughter helped to clean out the enclosures and groomed some of the donkeys. This truly is a wonderful place and a must visit on the island. Please don’t come to the island without calling in. You won’t be disappointed!

Well done to all of the amazing team there for caring for all the donkeys they have rescued. Keep up the good work x
