Rescuing and caring for our donkeys does cost money. A bag of feed costs an average of £14, a big bale of hay can cost £40 - £50, a community visit costs approximately £120 per visit, and an operation can cost several thousand pounds. We are a voluntary organisation and we have to raise all the money that our donkeys need through our own fundraising.
Our adoption scheme is our most important fundraising cause. An adoption is a suggested minimum donation of £36.00 per year; it can be done
online here, by phone or in person at the Sanctuary. This is a vital scheme which generates the money for vets, farriers, and of course their feed, hay and straw.
