Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary's logo
Blakey is a beautiful black donkey who came to the Sanctuary with Olive and their daughter, Barbara, after being abandoned in a field in Norfolk. He had a son called ‘Sunny’, born at the sanctuary in 2015.

Blakey can often be seen throwing either straw or hay onto his back, which we believe to be a soothing habit for him. He can be quite nervous but has had lots of training over the years to build up his confidence.
